The IoT Startup 2019 contest, themed "Open Innovation" was officially launched from June 2019, attracting more than 80 participants. After preliminary and semi-final rounds, 16 projects of Group A (Startup) and 10 of Group B (Students) entered the final round to compete for the highest-ranked projects.
On October 19th, the winners of the final round, having the best answers for the demands of three major enterprises including Intel Products Vietnam Co. Ltd, HERE.com company and Dien Quang Lamp JSC, were announced. Being one of 16 projects selected for the final, tMonitor - Real-Time Indoor Air Quality Monitoring System won the first place for the best solution for Dien Quang Lamp's subject. tMonitor not only addresses Dien Quang Lamp's requirements but also proves its innovative technology solution and development feasibility in the enterprise.
tMonitor is a unique solution that brings insights of all 13 air quality indexes, using Internet Of Things and Machine Learning for both real-time monitoring of air quality and emergency response to the crisis in indoor working environment where there are high density of people like factories, hospitals, schools, shopping malls, and indoor public spaces.
Killer features of tMonitor include auto-calibrated air sensors with high resolution and high accuracy, an AI-based system, crisis ready and open API integration, which make it stand out from other participants.
Talking to the reporter after IoT Startup 2019 contest, Mr. Vu Hai Nam said: "Our team heard of this contest from Saigon Hi-tech Park Incubation Center and my friends in IoT sector. The subject given by Dien Quang Lamp JSC - one of the judges, is to build an air quality monitoring system for Vietnam, which is exactly one of tMonitor's major functions. Therefore, we become part of this contest to broaden our horizons from other startup participants and network with air specialists."
"Right after the contest, I discussed with several enterprises to proceed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) sign-off and then integrate our tMonior solution into Smart Home ecosystem, Smart Factory, etc.", Mr. Hai Nam told the reporter. He also shared that tMonitor would be assisted during the development and testing phases at Saigon Hi-tech Part Incubation Center, and receive a support package from Ho Chi Minh Department of Science and Technology for the continued progress.
